Espresso Songs Ltd founder Steve Tannett has enjoyed a long and successful career in the music industry. It is a rich and varied history which includes associations to artists and songwriters including Sting, The Police, REM, Duran Duran, Squeeze and Zucchero from his days working with the legendary Miles Copeland.
As an original part of the team that launched groundbreaking label IRS Records upon the world, he was involved in all aspects of a 20 year run for the label which included hits from artists across the musical spectrum including Black Sabbath, REM, Paul Carrack, The Alarm, Timbuk 3, Pato Banton, The GoGo's and many more. He was also a Managing Director of Bugle songs the publishing arm of the Copeland Group of companies.
Steve is planning to reunite with Miles Copeland for the Printemps De Troubadour songwriters retreat which takes place at Miles' castle in the Dordogne France, an event which hosts some of the worlds top songwriters in a unique setting. A setting which has yielded many classic songs including hits for Celine Dion, Aerosmith and Keith Urban among many others.
More recently he was the founder of the Blujay group of companies which included artist management and music publishing. The company launched 'The Lockout' brand who's events play host to some of the best up and coming talent in the UK at the legendary Dingwalls venue in Camden Lock London.
